The Class

It is my hope to share my passion for the Filipino Martial Arts as we practice at our school located in Charlotte, Mi.. I use a blend of Filipino and Indonesian as well as Thai, Chinese, Japanese, French, and Western arts. These arts have been chosen for their individual strengths. I use the ranges of combat as a guide in the learning process;kicking, punching, trapping, locking, and take downs . I train with the single stick, double stick, long, and short stick, as well as with knife, single and double, staff, and  empty hands, with the use of the weapons. The skills transfer from the weapons to the empty hands and aid in training your body and limbs to gain proper  body mechanics. If you learn to defend against weapons, the empty hand is much easier to deal with.

  We are a very nontraditional school (with no disrespect to the traditional schools). Our members come from small towns and have desires to achieve skills that will help save themselves, there families, and their friends from harm.  To retain a relatively decent physical condition. The bond of friendship, loyalty, honor, and kindness is a natural by product of the martial arts.  We do not attempt to be the toughest, nor do we attempt to compete for best in class. Rather in contrast, to most of the schools I have attended,, we thrive to help every member to grow and feel as a part of the art, not a stepping stone in the art. We cannot get better our self if our partners don't get better. We work as a team for I  need my partners to help me get better and you will need your partners to help you get better.
